If you stay in Japan for more than 3 months, you need to enroll in the National Health Insurance.
Although you will need to pay insurance premiums, your medical expenses will be only 30%, and the remaining 70% is covered by this insurance.
Please check each city's website for the detail.

日本に3ヶ月以上滞在する場合は、国民健康保険に加入する必要があります。
保険料の支払い義務が生じますが、医療費はかかった分の3割負担で、残りの7割はこの保険でまかなわれます。
詳しくは各市区町村のホームページで確認してください。

If you are unwell and visit a hospital for medical treatment, be sure to take your health insurance card with you.
Clinic hours for most medical care providers in Japan are limited to weekdays and Saturday mornings. Designated hospitals provide medical treatments at night and on Sundays and national holidays. Please check the holiday/night clinic system for the community where you live.

病気になった場合は、健康保険証を持ち、最寄りの医療機関を受診します。日本の医療機関の多くは、診療が平日と土曜日の午前に限られているため、休日や夜間などは救急外来を受診することになります。

To start using gas services, you will need to attend when opening the gas valve, so please contact the gas company to arrange the schedule.
ガスの開栓をする際には立ち合いが必要になりますので、ガス会社に連絡をして開栓の日程を決めます。

You need to have a Japanese bank account to pay your tuition fees and receive scholarships.
After completing your resident registration, please open a bank account.
You will need your valid passport, residence card, student ID card, personal seal (not rubber stamps) etc.
The required identification documents are different depending on the bank, so please check the website of your preferred bank.

学費を払ったり、奨学金を受け取ったりするために、銀行口座を開設している必要があります。外国人登録を済ませたあと、銀行口座を開設してください。手続きには、パスポート、在留カード、学生証、印鑑（ゴム印不可）などが必要です。

In addition to postal services, post offices also provide bank services, insurance services, and utility bill payment services.
Please check the post office for details as the handling services and business hours are different in each post office.

郵便局では郵便サービスのほか、貯金サービスや保険サービス、公共料金などの支払いも取り扱っています。
取扱い内容・時間は各局において違いますので、詳しくは郵便局にお問い合わせください。

When you wish to send a letter or a parcel, you can send it from the post office.
Some post offices such as large ones in each district are open on holidays.
When you move within Japan, any mail sent to your old address will be forward to your new address for one year if you take the change of address procedure.

各地域にある大きな郵便局等、土曜・日曜・祝日も郵便業務を取り扱っているところもあります。
転居したときは、手続をすると１年間、旧住所に届いた郵便物などを新住所へ無料で転送してもらえます。

You can transfer money to countries around the world from the Japan Post Bank and post office handling international money transfer services.
Japan Post Bank and post offices handling foreign currency provide foreign currency exchange services.

国際送金を取り扱う、ゆうちょ銀行・国際送金取扱郵便局から簡単な方法で世界各国に送金することができます。
ゆうちょ銀行・外貨両替取扱郵便局で外貨両替のサービスを提供しています。

The main mobile carriers in Japan are Docomo, Softbank, and au. You can purchase mobile phones or SIM cards in their shops. Companies provide different services and products and you can check the details of services on their website. There are other mobile carriers as well, so try to find the one your preference.
Contract method and required documents are different from mobile carrier to carrier, so please check it beforehand.
Normally, your passport, residence card, bankbook, etc. are needed.

携帯電話会社には、NTTドコモ、ソフトバンクモバイル、au by KDDI等の大手に加え、その他格安SIM等があります。契約方法、必要書類は会社によって異なるので確認してください。通常、パスポート、在留カード、預金通帳などが必要です。

In general, spring in Japan spans from March to May, summer is from June to August, autumn is from September to November, and winter lasts from December to February.
The seasons are relatively distinct in Japan, so please be careful of the seasons' change since weather changes might affect your health.

春は３月～５月、夏は６月～８月、秋は９月～11月、冬は12月～２月までがだいたいの目安です。
季節の変わり目は体調を崩しやすいので、十分に注意してください。
